This blog post was written on the 8th April a big day in the life of someone who lives a life that matters to me, and hopefully she realises that her life does matter, and the contribution she makes to the world could have a major impact. To see the transformation of any human being is a wonderful process to witness. I am very fortunate to be able to experience this regularly through both my life coaching and the trial beta group on the Compass for Life course, my contribution to the world of personal development.
Today is a very special day in the transformation journey of somebody I hold very close to my heart. My own daughter Carly begins her life as a University student at Canterbury where she is studying adult nursing. What a landmark in a year where her sister Laura Jayne completed her degree achieving a fantastic 2.1 upper and her grandmother past away.
In fact the loss of her grandmother proved to be the catalyst to Carly’s personal reinvention. I have already written that Carly had been truly inspired by the care of some of the nurses at the RVI Hospital and had found within herself the passion to want to contribute to the lives of others in a similar way and therefore made the decision to follow a career in nursing. This all happened in December 2013 and some 9 months later she got through many obstacles and difficulties to be at Canterbury on day 1 of her University course.
What an incredible month this will be. My daughter starts her university life and I launch my Reinvention University and the Compass for Life course. This will begin on September 26th my mother’s birthday so it launches as a celebration to her life and in her memory.
I know she will be so proud of her granddaughter and will be watching her progress and reinvention.
My mum, both daughter’s and myself have all climbed hurdles, fought through many difficulties and come to learn that wherever life may find you we can all go on and reinvent our lives and create something different. Something special.
It takes finding that passion within you, that belief in you and your possibilities, choosing the route you want to take and that never give up philosophy which will provide you with the determination and persistence to see everything through to the end.
My wish is more people could find these things within themselves. And that more and more young people connect to their life purpose rather than waiting to midlife. Yet whatever age you are, know your life purpose is waiting to kick start your life.
Carly my message to you is love this life you are building and make a massive contribution making the difference to those whose lives you touch. Nursing offers you a wonderful route to do this. I’m proud of who you are and what you’re becoming.
If you would like any more information on my ‘Compass for Life’ Course, which begins this week, Friday September 26th, go and check it out at the Reinvention University and get started so I can help you to rebuild your life better than it’s been before .
