How to create the life of your dreams – a success formula that works

One think I know about many of you is that you are fed up buying every new personal development book that gets published, book after book growing in number on your bookshelf, the amount you spend growing out of all proportion to what you learn. Nothing seems in truth able to transform your life. You feel destined to stay stuck in a life you’re unhappy with.

I want to provide you with some life changing information, that if you put it to use will change your life. The key information will not be lost in a 300 page book but simply provided to you through this blog post so you can use it to radically change your life.

So what’s your dream? For some people the dream is fame, for some it’s money, for some its freedom, for others it’s simply to be happy. Are you pursuing your dream, or is fear stopping you? What have you always wanted to do? Maybe something you dreamed of as a child but have given up as unrealistic? Maybe something you still want to do but are afraid of failing? What fears are stopping you?

I know you are desperate to create a life that you can feel yourself as having been success. Time is ebbing away and you feel that if you can’t bring about change soon, you never will. You are destined to live a life no better than mediocre, but which often feels so disappointing to you. In fact unless you start now moving your life forward things will only get worse.

Well here’s the simple solution you have been waiting for.

Step 1: Determine an empowering breakthrough goal that will drive you forward.

Creating your breakthrough goal is to me not only the first step of my success formulas but also the most important.  You may have heard it said, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.” The results we achieve whether good or bad depend on what we focus on in each moment.  Focusing our time, energy or money on the wrong things in these challenging times is something we can’t afford to do. You need to find that one thing which will inspire you to drive forward, excite you every day so as to ensure you work towards its attainment.

You remember that gut feeling. When you were young, you know what you wanted. The world was your oyster.  Maybe you wanted to be a football player, own your own business, or maybe you wanted to be in the army.  When you thought about this one thing you wanted most of all you felt in your gut this was the path for you.

Once you focus on what you want during every moment of your day you can then move in the direction of what you want. Once you have a mission, the thing you really want to do, and then match it the belief that you can achieve it, then you become super charged and empowered.

So get clear now. Determine without doubt what you want. Keep asking yourself the question ‘what do I want?’ You have to take time out to figure out what it is you’ll love to do.

If my life has absolutely no limits and I could have it all and do whatever I wanted, what is the one thing I truly want to do?

Don’t read on until an idea has begun whirling around in your head, and all sorts of ideas are coming to you about this one thing you want to achieve that will change everything for you.

Step 2: Create a plan of how to bring this into existence.

When you work long hours, and every day you are rushing through trying to get more and more done, where your personal life seems to move further into the background, and you have no time for your family, let alone yourself you are a candidate for exhaustion and alas failure. It seems that not many people I meet can escape from the over burdening demands of their work. So if you’ve noticed that you’ve been getting headaches, feeling exhausted, showing a lack of enthusiasm for things, getting irritable easily, you may well have reached the point that says it’s now time to completely transform your life. So I’ve got you to think about this ‘breakthrough goal’ but once you know what it is, how to you get it to happen.

With all the massive demands and responsibilities you face in life, coming at you from so many different directions, and from so many people, you can not hope to get through intact unless you start planning your time, and it is not possible to manage your time unless you have a plan. When you don’t plan your day ahead, you will just continue dealing with things as they arise, never really making headway with the important things you could be doing. Without planning your day, every day, your breakthrough goal will never happen.

Many people spend more time planning their summer holiday than planning the rest of their life. From the first you may get two great weeks every year, the second means you get the most out of your entire life and makes every day seem like a holiday, which is how things are when you’re doing something you love and when you’re working towards your breakthrough goal how can you not love what you’re doing.

Planning forces you to think through everything in advance. One major reason people don’t like to plan is because it’s hard work. Developing a great plan requires a lot of deep thinking that can be mentally draining. But the results will always be so much better when you do use the planning process.

To be successful in your life, you need to have a plan. Without a plan, many of your dreams will only be dreams. A plan, on the other hand, will help you turn your dreams into reality. It works because it gives you not a just a destination, but also a way to get there.

There is a magic when you start to live your life with a sense of purpose guided by a well-planned future. I know completing this section is difficult because it involves going deep within yourself and at times having to reflect and wait till the true answer comes to you. But I assure you taking the time to do this will elevate yourself to live a life of your own choosing. You can follow your dreams in life! I would urge you to commit yourself to completing this life plan.

So get writing, try to determine the steps you will need to take to achieve your breakthrough goal. Again don’t read on till you’ve listed down between 10 to 20 actions you need to take that will move you towards the attainment of this goal. You know it’s time you did these type of things and no longer just be a spectator in your life.

Step 3: Take Action so to make it happen.

Instead of continuing to search for the book  or article with these secrets you’re searching for, the silver bullets, take massive action that will move your life forward.

While I was coming to terms with my losses experienced through my darkest days I just threw myself into work. I hadn’t even thought about what I should be doing, what would have been best. I was busy reacting, fighting for survival seemingly frozen in a type of trance where I was living but not alive. All I could think about was having just enough money to buy food, pay rent and have enough to put petrol in my car. For the first time in my life I wasn’t trying to create or build something, just holding on to what I had. When things were truly successful I had always looked ahead to where I wanted life to go, now I was just living one day by the next. I assure you this way is the wrong way.

You can’t move your life forward until you start taking action. The plan that we’ve looked at above now needs to be followed through on. This is simple:

  • You are where you are in life right now
  • You want to change everything and now have a breakthrough goal and want to move your life towards it.
  • Knowing where you want to go you’ve now produced your action plan, the strategy required needed to get you to where you want to go.
  • So the final step is to get busy and start doing the things you need to make it happen.

Once you are clear on what you want, then you have to commit to it and put everything into it so as to make it happen. And all you have to ensure is that you stick with it, don’t give up, or keep changing your goals.

    Having a plan is so important. So many people just wing it when it comes to their goals. While that might work out sometimes, all too often things fall apart at the seems.

    Especially when you don’t know what to do next. Having a plan makes it easy to take action, you don’t get stuck trying to figure it out.
