It’s been my goal in the last 18 months to create an online business and to eventually enjoy a location independent lifestyle. I will forever continue blogging, particularly about personal development, but I want to be able to do this from where ever in the world I wish to be. Right now is a very exciting time for me, and I feel great about it. I am now working on a new project which offers me a wonderful new opportunity.
I love blogging and the online business opportunities it has provided me with. I think there are so many unbelievable opportunities available right now for people online.
My exciting opportunity offers me the chance to keep doing what I love to do, while at the same time practice what I preach and branch out into a totally new audience who need to learn and develop personal development skills, alongside improving themselves as bloggers.
Never discourage anyone who continually makes progress, no matter how slow. Aristotle
When I discovered blogging, I recognized it as an ideal vehicle for me to combine all my best personal skills: writing about personal development ideas, motivating people, computer skills and marketing. So, I took the plunge and started the learning curve on the mechanics of blogging in April of 2010 and started getting serious about it in the September.
When I decided to enter the blogging world it was so that I could build upon what I was already doing to help people live more satisfying, healthy, and productive lives. What I didn’t know when setting out, was that my blog would change my life in ways I would never of predicted. It’s connected me to a whole world of interesting people and really helped me to focus on achieving my goals, and enabled me to create a few new, motivating targets. I hope to get to my goal and inspire others along the way. I was amazed at the personal support I have received from many in the blogging community.
We are here on earth to do good for others.
What the others are here for, I don’t know.
W. H. Auden
By writing I deepen my own understanding and accelerates my own journey of personal growth. It allows me to be unique, to be myself, committed to excellence and do it in my own way. Blogging is also a form of self-therapy for me.
It’s always gratifying to hear from someone who was touched by one of my articles. It’s rewarding to hear how someone was able to apply an idea from an article to the unique circumstances of their life in a way that has moved them forward. I love to hear how something made a positive difference in someone’s life.
None will improve your lot if you yourself do not. Bertolt Brecht
My vision is building an ever-growing site contributing inspiration to those attracted to ideas of personal development. As my readers continue to grow in number, this provides me with an outlet for making the difference, allowing me to make a bigger and bigger contribution.
This challenges me creatively, but provides me with a sense of fulfilment that is so rare to find in your work. It gives me a sense of independence. There are no boundaries to what I can do.
We are very fortunate today. We are living in an extremely interesting time. Things are changing so fast and so many opportunities truly sit out there waiting for you to find them. A lot of your future depends on you. Being one of my readers you just want to live a good life and have some fun. You may be looking for the opportunity to prove yourself and have the freedom to be who you want to be. I am sure you have certain passions in your life. I want to play my small part in giving you the confidence to follow your true desired path.
You are making use of this blog. If you weren’t you probably would not be reading this article. You come here for some personal development thoughts, ideas and inspirations. I hope that you go away realising the key to happiness and to success is learning to manage our inner selves.
I just want you to take some time to ponder over this question:
In the last 24 hours how many happy moments are you able to recall?
If you can’t think of many, this may mean that you are struggling with bad inner management. Let this be your wake up call. When you look at everything you do in life, it is done in the pursuit of happiness, so if you aren’t experiencing enough of it, you have to make changes so that you do .
So what does being a good inner manager mean? It means learning to manage your body, mind, emotions, and energies together. If you don’t have inner management you are managing your outside world purely by accident, there is no real meaningful intent behind your actions. And that can’t lead to fulfilment, let alone happiness.
Let me assure you that, if you manage yourself properly, you will rise to your true potential.
So now it’s time you take a probing look at yourself, do you really know how good a shape your emotions are in and do you understand the role they play in your life? How about your mind, and thinking process, your body or your level of energy.
If you are not satisfied with your life most likely you have let these areas run unconsciously, they are not interacting with each other, and therefore you are unable to exist at your best.
Inner management is essential to life management. It’s your responsibility to learn to manage yourself, blaming and complaining the outside world will get you nowhere.
Have you heard this saying: as within so without? Your reality is a reflection of your inner world!
No matter how your life is right now there is a part of you who has all the knowledge and resources to change it! That’s right – it’s all inside of you! You can access it and draw from that inner treasure to shift your life into the most beautiful and uplifting experience

I like your idea of having a business you can run from anywhere. That’s one of the things that drew me to blogging. In fact, just last month, as I was launching a redesign on my site, I happened to be on a trip with my family as I started putting in some of the posts and “flipped the switch” so to speak from being a wordpress drven “static” site to a wordpress blog.
Can’t wait to see your post on Monday! Looking forward to it!
Grady – a brave move to go from a static site to a blog, but it does offer you so many other oppportunities. Isn’t it great that as long as you have the technology you can run everything from anywhere in the world. A location independent lifestyle awaits anyone willing to put in the time and effort to blogging.
I love all those quotes. Thanks for this post.
